The Saramana Chapter is a local chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) serving Sarasota and Manatee counties in Florida.

As a lineage society, our members are male descendants of Revolutionary War patriots who actively work to fulfill the SAR mission of Patriotism, History, and Education. The Saramana Chapter specifically carries out this mission by providing cash scholarships to area students through historical oration and essay contests, recognizing outstanding JROTC cadets and Eagle Scouts, and participating in patriotic observances to honor their ancestors and serve the local community.

We meet once a month, excluding the summer months of June, July, August, and September, and represent our ideals through participating in local parades and service clean-ups at our beloved veteran cemeteries.
